Description

As kids we had boundless energy and our bodies moved freely. But then we got older - not old, just older - and suddenly our bodies don’t feel as good as they used to. Many adults today are constantly sore, exhausted, and generally don’t feel their best. Marketers have convinced us that our chairs and desks aren’t “ergonomic” enough, so we invest in expensive chairs and standing desks - only to discover that nothing really changes. But what if the problem isn’t our furniture, but how we use it?

Carole Blueweiss is a movement specialist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and decades of experience working with thousands of patients. In that time she discovered that most people don’t see the link of how they spend their days and how they feel physically. Many assume that soreness and weakness are a natural consequence of aging. But what if that’s not true? With just a few simple tweaks to our posture, balance, and mindset you’ll discover that it has never been about the chair. Not only can we reverse our aching bodies and tired minds, but dramatically increase our confidence and performance. And in this fast-paced interactive presentation, Carole will show you how.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this presentation, attendees will…

  1. Understand why how you sit and use your furniture (chair, desk, etc) is more important than the type of furniture or how expensive it is.

  2. Discover a handful of simple posture and balance practices that increase your physical and mental wellbeing.

  3. Create a simple movement routine that integrates seamlessly into their personal and professional schedules, no matter how busy they are.
