A TEDx talk is one way to share an idea. Balance is a BIG topic and in ten minutes, it takes a lot of skill to know what to leave out and what to include. Then how to present the idea in a way that people will leave remembering at least one take-home message. Specific writing and presentation skills help. So do supportive people who have faith in you. Shout out to Brian Miller, Cindy Metzler, Erik Mintz, my mother, Ruth; my husband Bruce Blueweiss, my colleagues, Erica DeMarch, Amy Brown, Nancy Potter and Jane Spaulding; my friends Becki, Lisa Michel, Suzin Green, Athena Tapales, Adriana Malone, Dana, Athena Tapales, Jackie, Margaret L. Wang, Sonia, Kayla Nelson, Tania Marien, Tania Del Rio, Danny van Leeuwen, Ame Sanders (she-her-hers), Lois Gold and Valerie Molignano for listening more than once and no less than ten times, offering valuable feedback. It takes a village. Seeing this TEDx talk make #2 as most watched TEDx talk in the world, June 2024 is due in part to you all. Maybe that the talk came out on my mother’s birthday is no coincidence…
